we love japanese fabrics and patterns, and we couldn't help using them in our whooping crane print (even though whooping cranes are usually found in minnesota and canada, yayoubetcha).

whooping crane is a limited edition handmade screen print on archival titanium white paper, measures 10" x 14" (25.4cm x 35.5cm), and sits beautifully within the common frame size of 14" x 18".

mid century ebay finds

so the bad thing about maternity leave is that i have ample time to comb through pages and pages of eames era goodies on ebay. i really love these yellow table lamps (moderncactus) but i bought the little mosaic bench instead. the seller is from the netherlands and from time to time has really unique furniture. i thought these enamel serving plates were cool too.

it's friday night and all i can think about is making and eating cupcakes. since im diligently trying to get back my girlish figure i decided to blog instead. chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing and sprinkles. mmm. anyhow! i stumbled upon a couple of great vintage shops on etsy today. here's a sample of some cool stuff i found on hello victory. and finding fabulous

little bean shop

if you happen to live in dallas, you must check out the unique kiddo store, the little bean shop. it's nestled in the cute neighborhood junius heights in east dallas. the owner, christine, has her own line of clothing and her sewing machine onsite for special requests. this little gem also highlights many independent designers! their online shop will be ready to go in early fall 09.
