jeff and i just received the new book, born modern: the life and design of alvin lustig, today! we are both inspired by his design aesthetic and would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in midcentury design. i also stumbled upon this amazing interior by victor gruen with alvin lustig as design consultant (via madameherve).

new color

i was really tired of the bright blue accent wall in our living room. so i decided to pick something more 'sophisticated'. my sophisticated warm gray, i mean, beige was awful. this is what we finally agreed on after hours of playing with colors in photoshop :) i think i like it!

im back!

sorry for the 2 month long hiatus. a lot is going on and when it really gets down to it, blogging is not high on my priority list :) i have, however, been saving up folders of goodies to post. and beethings is still working away on new art and products. i will be posting those soon.
